The proposed "Grain Belt Express" transmission line, designed to carry wind-generated electricity from the Kansas Great Plains to Indiana, faces an uncertain future. The 800-mile-long high-tension line would traverse Central Illinois, passing through private properties. However, the 5th District Illinois appellate court has unanimously ruled in "Concerned Citizens & Property Owners v.
