City of Quincy Board of Fire & Police Commission met Aug. 13.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

1. Call to Order and Roll Call

2. Public Comments – limit to 3 minutes

3. Approve Minutes of Last Meeting

4. Correspondence/Invoices/Budget Review

5. Pending Business

a. Mr. Penn with Chief Vahlkamp – 9:15 a.m. Hearing Status Update (EXECUTIVE SESSION: Regarding Litigation Matters, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act of 5 ILCS 120/(c)(11) and Regarding Personnel Matters, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act of 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)).

b. Chief Vahlkamp – 9:45 a.m.

i. New firefighter hires and swearing in.

ii. Discuss Lieutenant, Captain and Assistant Chief promotional testing requirements.

c. (EXECUTIVE SESSION: Regarding Personnel Matters, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act of 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).) Review executive minutes.

d. Chief Yates – 10:15 a.m.

i. Discuss candidate physical fitness demo and written testing plan, August 17.

ii. Discuss Sergeant and Lieutenant promotional testing requirements.

iii. (EXECUTIVE SESSION: Regarding Personnel Matters, pursuant to the Open Meetings Act of 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).) Review executive minutes.

6. Old Business

a. Review annual and monthly suspense’s (Cheyne)

7. New Business

a. Laptop conversion and i-Cloud access and administration (Kerker)

b. Firefighter candidate presentation and discussion, August 7 (Cheyne)

c. Swearing ceremonies; police officer (August 12) and firefighters (August 19). (Cheyne)

d. Citizens Police Academy presentation, August 21 (Cheyne)

e. Approve July executive meeting minutes (Board)

f. Approve lateral police officer list (Board)

g. Amend firefighter candidate list (Board)
