As the new school year approaches, State Senator Jil Tracy (R-Quincy), along with Representatives Kyle Moore (R-Quincy) and C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Murrayville), have initiated a Back-to-School Supplies Drive to support students in need. The drive, which runs until August 8, aims to collect essential school supplies for distribution across their districts.

“I’m proud to join my colleagues for our inaugural school supply drive,” said Senator Tracy. “Every student deserves to walk into the classroom with the tools they need to learn and succeed. This effort helps lift a burden from families and shows our students that their community is behind them.”

The initiative seeks donations of new school supplies such as backpacks, lunch boxes, pencils, notebooks, and other essentials.

“This drive is about more than just supplies,” said Representative Moore. “It’s about reminding our students and families that they are valued, supported, and part of a community that steps up for one another. Whether you donate a single notebook or a trunk full of supplies, you’re making a real difference for a child in our district.”

Donations can be delivered to either the Quincy Office at 3601 East Lake Centre Drive, Suite 200, Quincy, IL or the Jacksonville Office at 325 W. State Street, Suite 102, Jacksonville, IL.

“Every child should be able to start school ready to learn,” added Representative Davidsmeyer. “With the cost of living so high, many families are stretched thin just trying to cover the basics. Even a small donation can mean a brighter start for a student — and a stronger future for our communities.”

All collected items will be sorted and distributed to local schools before classes begin. For further information, contact Representative Moore’s office at 217-223-0833.
