Mary Miller, the Congressional representative for Illinois' District 15, said that President Trump's first term demonstrated that reducing regulatory burdens leads to "more jobs and a stronger economy." She made this remark in a Facebook post on March 13.
"President Trump's first term proved that cutting burdensome regulations means more jobs and a stronger economy," said Miller, U.S. Represntative, according to Facebook. "Now he's fighting for us again! Administrator Lee Zeldin's EPA rollback on Green Bad Deal Scam regulations is another huge win for American businesses and workers."
According to Miller's post, it included a video featuring Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Lee Zeldin. Zeldin announced that the EPA will be initiating 31 unique actions, marking one of the largest deregulatory announcements in U.S. history. The EPA is reconsidering several regulations introduced by the Biden Administration, including the Clean Power Plan 2.0 and various standards related to air quality and vehicle emissions. Zeldin said these actions aim to lower living costs by making car purchases, home heating, and business operations more affordable.

It included grants to eight nonprofits such as the Coalition for Green Capital and Climate United Fund, which have collaborated with organizations like Rewiring America and Habitat for Humanity.
In efforts to reduce living costs for American families, according to an EPA news release dated March 12, there will be reconsideration of vehicle regulations along with other measures such as restructuring regional haze programs and terminating certain environmental justice initiatives.
