Central Community Unit School District 3 Board of Education June 27.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The Board of Education met at 6:30 p.m. on June 27, 2024, for their regular meeting in the district board office.
Following the prayer and pledge, President Kestner called the meeting to order. Guests included Nikki Buehler. President Kestner asked if there were any questions and/or comments from the public, hearing none the meeting continued.
The amended agenda was approved.

The following was approved as presented:

• Treasurer’s Report
Board Action Items
The following items were approved:
• Approved the 2024-2025 Consolidated District Plan
• Approved the transfer of $12,528 from the Ed fund to Debt Service fund for copier lease.
• Approved the transfer of $250,000 from the Working Cash fund to Operations & Maintenance fund for the Multi-Purpose Building.
Committee Action Items
Building
• The big move between CEC and CES went very smoothly, with no problems to report.
• There is painting happening in both buildings in classrooms and hallways.
• Carpet will be laid in a few remaining rooms that were converted at CES that have tile flooring.
• Tree removal at CES and CHS was completed by Grizzly Tree and Vegetation Control LLC.
• JH lunchroom – the existing floor was removed; the asbestos tile was removed and the concrete was polished. The project should be completed by July 12th.
• An issue was raised by the Health Department regarding the requirements for a sink within 20 steps of the service area. Brinkman’s will be here to quote out a few options for sink set up.
Policy
• The second reading and adoption of Policy Updates: 2:40, 2:260, 2:265, 2:270, 4:190, 5:10, 5:20, 5:100, 5:300, 7:10, 7:20, and 7:180 was approved.
• The second reading and adoption of the Student Handbook changes for 2024-2025 was approved.
Finance
• The 2023-2024 Amended School District Budget was adopted.
Curriculum
• Nothing to report.
