West Central Community Unit School District 235 Board of Education met May 8.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The meeting was called to order by President Schaley at 6:00 p.m. in the middle school gym. The following board members answered roll call: Bigger, Clark, Gullberg, Higgins, Schaley, and Vancil. Absent was board member Chockley. Also present were Superintendent Day and Elementary Principal Kathy Lafary.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There was no one present who wished to address the Board on any agenda items.
ACTION ITEM
Motion by Bigger, seconded by Vancil to reject the middle school locker room project in the amount of $465,699 by Laverdiere Construction, as presented. The following members voted aye on roll call: Gullberg, Higgins, Schaley, Vancil, Bigger and Clark. 6-0 motion carried.
Motion by Bigger, seconded by Clark to approve the health life safety project to replace the middle school intercom system in the amount of $38,588.46 by Heart, as presented. The following members voted aye on roll call: Clark, Gullberg, Higgins, Schaley, Vancil and Bigger. 6-0 motion carried.
FUTURE MEETING DATE
The Board was reminded that the regular Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in the elementary cafeteria.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Clark, seconded by Bigger to adjourn at 6:42 p.m. Majority of Ayes by Voice Vote. Motion carried.
