City of Quincy Plan Commission met June 27.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

• Call the Meeting to Order 

• Welcome New Members 

• Approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of the Quincy Plan Commission on May 23, 2023. 

• Declaration of Conflict 

• Public Comment on Issue(s) Not Listed on the Agenda (limited to three minutes) 

• New Business 

o A request from The Crossing Church to rezone 150 South 48th Street from R1A (singlefamily residential) to C1B (commercial) to allow for the continued operation of a restaurant (Ward 4) 

o A request from William Spear to rezone 1515 State Street from R2 (two-family residential) to C1B (commercial) to align the zoning with 1535 State Street (Ward 4)

o A request from William Spear for a Special Permit for Planned Development to allow for the demolition of a dwelling at 424 South 16th Street without demolishing the existing garage and to allow for the removal and replacement of the existing garage without constructing a new dwelling (Ward 4) 

o A request from JTP of Quincy, Inc. for a Special Permit for Planned Development to allow for the commercial sale of portable buildings at 900-920 Maine Street (Ward 7) 

• Additional Business for the Commission
