Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee met April 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

PRESENT: Bob Reich, Theresa Bockhold, Marvin Kerkhoff, Todd Duesterhaus, Jon McCoy

OTHER: Gary Farha, Lori Geschwandner, Anthony Foster, Todd Nelson, Jerrod Welch, Kevin Dicks

5:30 pm meeting was convened.

Bills

Bills were reviewed by all present committee members.

Review of Monthly Reports

Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes

Motion to approve made by Theresa Bockhold and seconded by Jon McCoy. Motion passed.

New Business

Appointment of Warren Huseman to Central Adams County Board

Motion to approve made by Bob Reich and seconded by Jon McCoy. Motion passed.

Liquor License for Hamilton’s Catering. Motion to approve made by Bob Reich and seconded by Theresa Bockhold. Motion passed.

Adams County Code

- Adams County Plat Act: Initial draft presented in board packets for information only. No action needed.

Pyrotechnics Permit Motion to approve made by Bob Reich and seconded by Theresa Bockhold. Motion passed

Resolutions

- Floodplain Ordinance discussed. Motion to approve and send to full board made by Jon McCoy and seconded by Marvin Kerkhoff.

- Admin assistant for Probation Department, possible promotion from within. Motion to send to finance committee made by Bob Reich and seconded by Jon McCoy.

- Raffle Permit discussion, recommendation by committee was potentially approving permits on a quarterly basis, request to the State’s Attorney to update the county Code for raffle permit approval verbiage Motion approved by Jon McCoy and seconded by Marvin Kerkhoff

Executive Session

N/A

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Marvin Kerkhoff and Theresa Bockhold seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:24pm.
