Q3 2021 Recap: 11 parolees from Adams County convicted of drug crimes set for release

There were 11 offenders convicted of drug crimes living in Adams County released on parole during the third quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Quincy Reporter.

The data shows seven men and four women were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for drug crimes was 38. The youngest parolee was a 30-year-old man sentenced in 2020, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Melinda M. Parrick. She was convicted in 2018 when she was 43 years old. She is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of drug crimes were paroled during the third quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
