Adams County Board Transportation, Building & Technology Committee met June 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Dave Bellis called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. in the Law Library. 

Present were: Committee Members: John Brady and Ryan Hinkamper 

Absent were: Committee Members: Les Post and Joe Zanger 

Also present were: Jim Frankenhoff, Dave Bockhold, Kent Snider, David Hochgraber, Terry Bower, Rich Wagner and Drew Zimmerman from the Quincy Herald-Whig 

• Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 10, 2022 committee meeting as printed and distributed. John Brady seconded the motion. Motion to approve the minutes passed unanimously. 

• The Committee reviewed, approved and signed off on the bills. 

• Jim Frankenhoff reported on various projects. 

• The Committee reviewed and signed off on a resolution reporting bids, awarding the contract and appropriating $135,000.00 from the County Bridge Fund to pay for the removal of the existing structure and installation of a new precast concrete box culvert on County Bridge Fund Project #814 located on East 1150th Street approximately 3 miles northwest of Payson in Fall Creek Road District to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval. 

• The Committee reviewed and signed off on a resolution reporting bids, awarding the contract, and appropriating $60,000.00 from the County Bridge Fund to pay for the repair of SN 001-3251 on County Bridge Fund Project #815 located on East 1100TH Street approximately 3.4 miles southwest of Mendon in Mendon Road District to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval. 

• The Committee reviewed and signed off on a resolution reporting bids and awarding the contract to County Contractors Inc., in the amount of $382,671.50 for the removal and replacement of the existing structure with a precast pre-stressed concrete deck beam bridge and the necessary approach work, on East 1800TH Street in Gilmer Township, known as Section #21-09113-00-BR, from the June 7, 2022 Township Bridge Fund Program Letting and authorizing the County Board Chairman to sign the contract; to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval. 

• The Committee reviewed and signed off on a resolution reporting bids and awarding the contract from the June 7, 2022 bid letting for the resurfacing of 1.031 miles of North 2400TH Avenue in Camp Point Road District using Road District Motor Fuel Tax Funds and authorizing the County Board Chairman to sign the contract; to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval. 

• The Committee reviewed and signed off on a resolution reporting bids and awarding the contract from the June 7, 2022 bid letting for the resurfacing of 0.332 miles of Columbus Road in Ellington Road District using Road District Motor Fuel Tax Funds and authorizing the County Board Chairman to sign the contract; to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval, 

• Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve the BRIC payment request for the Adams Co. Health Department. John Brady seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. 

• Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment application number 4 from Peters for the Adams County Health Department. John Brady seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. 

• The Committee discussed the need to remodel Courtroom 1B and put in restrooms. The cost is estimated at $45,000.00 and is in the budget. 

• Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to proceed with the project. John Brady seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. 

• The Committee discussed an agreement with Terry Bower to oversee all Adams County buildings for maintenance of certain items. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve the agreement. John Brady seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. 

• The Committee reviewed a summary of the ARPA projects. 

• Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to adjourn. John Brady seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at:6:50 P.M.
