Report: Liberty School District spent $9,033 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Liberty Community Unit School District 2 was up 7.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Quincy Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Adams County school district spent $8,433 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,033 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 633 to 651 students over the same period.

Liberty's spending in 2019-20 was 37.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
