John Wood Community College Board of Trustees Curriculum Committee Met June 7.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
The meeting convened at 2:00 p.m. Present virtually via zoom conference were Dr. Randy Greenwell, trustee; Mr. Mike Elbe, president; Dr. Laurel Klinkenberg, vice president of instruction; and Kristina Johnson, note taker. Absent, Andy Sprague, trustee.
The committee discussed Program Review which will continue as an annual and five-year process.
The timeline for Curriculum improvements was reviewed. The process starts with items approved by the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee and Faculty Senate, discussed at the Board Curriculum Committee once approved. Any items needing full Board approval are communicated at the monthly Board meeting.

- Partnerships and Articulation Agreements
- New Curriculum Program expansion
- Overview of Department structures and new Department Chairs elected for the 21/22 Academic Year
- Discussed importance of role of Advising Councils which meet each semester. The Councils inform the College of needed business and industry skills that are relevant for success.
