Call to Order and Roll Call
The Southeastern Community Unit District #337 Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, May 17, 2021 in the Board of Education Office (Room #126) in Augusta, Illinois. John Eilers, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Roll Call verified that there was a quorum of the Board of Education with the following members present and absent as listed below:

On a motion by Member Smith and a second by Member Tippey, the Board of Education approved the agenda items as presented.

On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member Smith, the Board of Education approved the minutes from the May 3, 2021 special board meeting.

Special Recognition
Superintendent Fox gave update on the Board Excellence featured on the school website which included state track qualifier, May Sun of the Month, Journal-Pilot Leader of the 21st Century, WCC South Volleyball 1st Team and 2nd Team, KHQA 2021 All Do-or-Die Boys Basketball Team Champaign New Gazette All-State Basketball 2nd Team, and Illinois Ap Class 1A/2A Honorable Mention All-State Basketball.
Financial
Superintendent Fox reviewed the monthly financial snapshot which shows we are 83% into the fiscal year. We have received 97% of budgeted revenue and have spent 74% of the budgeted expenditures.
On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member Smith, the Board of Education approved the bills, financial statements, and activity funds.

Informational Items
Superintendent Fox reviewed COVID-19 including ESSER funds, CDC guidelines, prom, and graduation.
Superintendent Fox reviewed the bus fleet.
Superintendent Fox reviewed the tax computation sheets for the 2020 tax year. Superintendent Fox discussed the jr. high girls’ basketball sports cooperative. Superintendent Fox explained the applicant process to fill the board vacancies.
On a motion by Member Smith and a second by Member Tippey, the Board of Education moved into closed session at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of collective negotiating matters between the school board and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees and the selection of a person to fill a vacancy on the school board, or the discipline, performance or removal of the occupant of a public office, when the public body is given power to remove the occupant under law or ordinance.
