Call to Order and Roll Call

The Southeastern Community Unit District #337 Board of Education met in regular session in the Board of Education Office (Room #126) in Augusta, Illinois. John Eilers, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Roll Call verified that there was a quorum of the Board of Education with the following members present and absent as listed below:

Approval of Agenda Items

On a motion by Member Winters and a second by Member O’Neal, the Board of Education approved the agenda items as presented.

Approval of Minutes

On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member O’Neal, the Board of Education approved the minutes from the September 28, 2020 regular meeting and closed session.

Special Recognition

Superintendent Fox named the Board Excellence accomplishments including National FFA Finalists and IHSA

Sectional Golf Qualifier.

Financial

On a motion by Member O’Neal and a second by Member Tippey, the Board of Education approved the bills, financial statements, and activity funds.

Informational Items

Superintendent Fox gave COVID-19 Update.

Superintendent Fox presented the Administrator and Teacher Salary and Benefits Report which is posted on the district website.

Superintendent Fox presented the tuition rate which is $9,155.63.

Superintendent Fox informed the Board that the 2020 Official Summative Designation will be the same as 2019 due to the impact of COVID-19.

Superintendent Fox discussed Pre-K transportation.

Superintendent Fox reviewed the ROE 26 FY21 Certification Compliance with the board.

Administrative reports were given with Mrs. Lantz commending her staff on the extra work they have been doing during this difficult time with the COVID-19 pandemic.

On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member O’Neal, the Board of Education approved the FY22 Risk Management Plan as presented.

On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member O’Neal, the Board of Education accepted the resignation of Paul Henry in the position of transportation director effective June 30, 2021 for the purpose of retirement.

On a motion by Member O’Neal and a second by Member Winters, the Board of Education moved into closed session at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity.

On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member Winters, the Board of Education voted to adjourn the meeting at 8:34 p.m.
