1 Adams County resident in fifties tests positive for COVID-19 on Sept. 11

One Adams County resident in his or her fifties tested positive for COVID-19 on September 11, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 146 positive cases reported in Adams County among residents in their fifties, accounting for 17 percent of all cases in the county. Through September 11, Adams County has reported a total of 857 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 10 of which have ended with the victim's death.

Illinois gathers all of their COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
