Loraine home prices fall in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Loraine fell by $29,103 while total sales increased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $34,897 - a 45.5% decrease over the $64,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were five homes sold in Loraine in 2017.

The median sales tax in Loraine for 2018 was $904. In 2017, the median sales tax was $873. This marks an increase of 3.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
