Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee met Dec. 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee held their regular meeting in the Adams County Board Room at 507 Vermont Street, Quincy, Illinois, December 3, 2019.

The following members were present:

Ryan Niekamp

Theresa Bockhold

Raquel Piazza

Todd Deusterhaus

Others present:

Aaron Arnold

Sue Hester

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Ryan Niekamp.

Speakers

Aaron Arnold gave a presentation on behalf of the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center to provide the Committee with a summary of the new behavior modification program implemented at the facility. Committee members asked several questions about the program and thanked Mr. Arnold for the presentation.

Bills

The committee reviewed bills and stamped as “Checked.”

Minutes

Mr. Deusterhaus made a motion to approve the minutes from the November 5 meeting. Mrs. Bockhold seconded the motion. The minutes were approved.

County Code

Article IV 3-4-2 Rabies Inoculation – Public Health & Safety committee will draft the ordinance for the December meeting – need to add the word “cats” to the existing rabies ordinance. Sue will draft a resolution for the December County Board meeting.

• Todd made a motion to approve the ordinance, Teresa seconded the motion. The motion was approved.

Circuit Clerk has a resolution to amends the original resolution to include city attorney for minor traffic offenses, we did not take into account in the original ordinance to include them.

• Todd made a motion to forward to Finance committee. Teresa seconded the motion. The motion carries.

Mr. Niekamp adjourned the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
