Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee met Nov. 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee held their regular meeting in the Adams County Board Room at 507 Vermont Street, Quincy, Illinois, November 5, 2019.

The following members were present:

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Ryan Niekamp.

Bills

The committee reviewed bills and stamped as “Checked.”

Minutes

Mrs. Piazza made a motion to approve the minutes from the October 8 meeting. Mr. Deusterhaus seconded the motion. The minutes were approved.

Liquor License

• Resolution adopting Ordinance Number 2019-11-017-026 for the approval of a Retail Liquor Dealer’s License on file in the County Clerk’s Office for the period of October 30, 2019 through December 31, 2019.

• Resolution adopting Ordinance Number 2019-11-017-027 for the approval of the Retail Liquor Dealer’s Licenses on file in the County Clerk’s Office for the period of January 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020.

• Request from the Niemann Foods, Inc dba County Market #244 for a One-Day Liquor permit for the County Market Holiday Cheer – Wine & Specialty Beer Tasting event to be held November 22, 2019 at the Ambiance, 5225 Kochs Lane, Quincy, IL.

o Mr. Hinkamper made a motion to approve the liquor licenses. Mr. Deusterhaus seconded the motion. The motion was by unanimous consent. County Code

• Article IV 3-4-2 Rabies Inoculation – Public Health & Safety committee will draft the ordinance for the December meeting. Resolutions

• County Holidays 2020 and County Board Meeting Schedule 2020 – Mrs. Bockhold made a motion to approve the holiday and board meeting schedule for 2020. Mrs. Piazza seconded the motion. The motion was by unanimous consent.

Mr. Niekamp provided the committee with a brief update on the budget discussion, and mentioned the budget will be presented at the November County Board meeting.

Mr. Niekamp adjourned the meeting at 6:29 p.m.
