Adams County Transportation, Building, and Technology Committee met Oct. 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Joe Zanger called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. in the law library.

Present: Committee Members: Marvin Kerkhoff & Dave Bellis.

Also present were: County Engineer Jim Frankenhoff, Business Manager Dave Bockhold, County Board Chairman Kent Snider, States Attorney Gary Farha & Jason Myers from Johnson Controls.

Absent: Les Post & John Brady

Mr. Bellis made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 10, 2019 committee meeting as printed and distributed. Mr. Kerkhoff seconded the motion. Motion to approve the minutes passed unanimously. Mr. Myers spoke to the Committee about energy audits & upgrades on County facilities.

The Committee reviewed, approved and signed off on the bills. The Committee reviewed and approved a resolution for approval of a Plat of Smith Acres Subdivision, located in Section 13 of Payson Township, subject to approval of the County Engineer's subdivision checklist, to be forwarded to the full County Board for approval The Committee reviewed, approved and signed a resolution approving a contractual agreement with Applied Research Associates Inc., for the renewal of the Pavement Management System, authorizing the Adams County Board Chairman to sign the agreement and appropriating the $276,600.00 cost over the life of the five year agreement from the County Matching Fund to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval. Jim Frankenhoff updated the Committee on the 48th & State Street intersection improvement. Jim Frankenhoff informed the Committee about two new hires for the highway maintenance department to fill one empty position and one upcoming retirement. Jim Frankenhoff updated the committee on the status of various projects. Mr. Bellis made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Kerkhoff seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
