Quincy home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Quincy rose by $1,000 while total sales increased by 3.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 875 homes sold, with a median sale price of $96,000 - a 1.1% increase over the $95,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 849 homes sold in Quincy in 2016.

The median sales tax in Quincy for 2017 was $1,706. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,684. This marks an increase of 1.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
