Quincy home prices fall in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Quincy fell by $4,500 while total sales decreased by 15.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 359 homes sold, with a median sale price of $95,000 - a 4.5% decrease over the $99,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 426 homes sold in Quincy in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Quincy for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,706, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
