Quincy home prices unchanged in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Quincy was unchanged while total sales decreased by 4.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 449 homes sold, with a median sale price of $96,000. There were 472 homes sold in Quincy in the second half of 2016, and the median sales price for the period was also $96,000.

The median sales tax in Quincy for 2017 was $1,706. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,684. This marks an increase of 1.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
