Payson home prices fall in December 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2017 in Payson fell by $664 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $58,000 - a 1.1% decrease over the $58,664 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Payson in December 2016.

The median sales tax in Payson for 2017 was $1,580. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,668. This marks an decrease of 5.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
