Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on Sept. 10.
Summit Spa and Fitness and NutritionHQ in Quincy teamed up with clients to deliver $1,050 for the unmet needs of patients of the Blessing Cancer Center and the Blessing Breast Center.
The money was raised through the registration fee for a recent powerlifting meet called, “Kilos 4 Cancer,” and the proceeds from raffles at the event. Taylor Ramey, who owns Summit Spa and Fitness with his wife, Mallory, said two factors motivated the donation including the people in his life who have experienced cancer and the fact that donations to The Blessing Foundation remain local to help patients in the area.
