Payson home prices rise in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Payson rose by $52,900 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $88,650 - a 148% increase over the $35,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Payson in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Payson for 2017 was $1,580. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,668. This marks an decrease of 5.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.8%.
