Blessing Health System issued the following announcement on March 27.
Registration is now open for the 10th annual “Strike Out for Breast Cancer” at Tangerine Bowl to benefit patients of the Blessing Breast Center. The event will take place over two days: Friday, April 26 at 7 pm, and Saturday, April 27 with sessions at Noon, 3 and 6:30 pm.
Teams of five can register for $100. Registration forms are available at the Tangerine Bowl, Mark Twain Casino, Blessing Breast Center or here online. Registration forms may be dropped off at the Blessing Breast Center 927 Broadway, East Building, Suite 320, or at the Tangerine Bowl. All mailed registrations must be received by Wednesday, April 17, to the Blessing Breast Center, PO Box 7005, Quincy, IL 62305, Attn: Dawn Jenkins, to guarantee the requested t-shirt size.
Strike Out for Breast Cancer will also feature voting and prizes for the people’s choice awards for favorite team costume along with raffle baskets, 50/50, and door prizes.
All proceeds benefit the Breast Services specific purpose fund of The Blessing Foundation. The fund helps Health System patients in medical necessity for their breast health, and with a financial disability, after other community resources have been exhausted. Major sponsors of Strike Out for Breast Cancer are Tangerine Bowl, KHQA, KZZK radio, WCOY radio, and Mark Twain Casino.
