John Wood Community College Finance & Audit Committee met Feb. 12.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The Finance Committee met on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at John Wood Community College. Present were Larry Fischer and Angie Greger; trustees (via phone/Zoom), Josh Welker; dean of business services & institutional effectiveness, Dr. Bryan Renfro; president, Nora Klingele; director of fiscal services, and Jenny Venvertloh; note taker.
• Bills for Payment - The bills for both December and January were reviewed and will be recommended for payment. We are looking into a more detailed report of expenses that are greater than $2,500 that could be used in the future for review.
• Approval of Travel Requests – The committee reviewed the overnight travel forms that have been submitted and recommended them for approval.
• Financials - The financials for both December and January were reviewed and will be recommended for approval.
• Board Budget – The budget was reviewed.
• Review & Discuss Investments - The investment report was reviewed.
• Board Items
o Tuition – In order to be in compliance with Illinois Community College Board Administrative Rule 1501.505, we recommend an increase of $15 to out-of-district and out-of-state tuition effective fall 2025. We are not recommending a tuition or fee increase to in-district tuition and fees.
