Adams County responsible for 28th-highest sales tax revenue in Illinois during November 2024

Adams County taxpayers paid the 28th largest sum in sales taxes in November 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Adams County residents paid $627,429 in sales taxes during November 2024.

Adams County ranked 31st in the Prairie State the month before, with $566,912 spent in sales taxes.

The Countywide Sales Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Adams County residents in November 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
