Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee met Nov. 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Mee#ng Convened at 5:45PM on November 12, 2024.  

Members Present: Robert Reich, Theresa Bockhold, Jon McCoy, and Marvin Kerkhoff and Todd  Duesterhaus 

Members Absent: None 

Others in Attendance: Gary Farha, and Ryan A. Niekamp, Lori Geschwandner, Anthony Foster,  Jonathan Hoover.  

A mo#on to approve the minutes from October 15, 2024, as written by Mr. Kerkhoff and seconded  by Mr. Duesterhaus. The minutes were approved unanimously as printed.  

The committee reviewed the bills, and all appeared to be in order.  

Chapter One, Sec#on 4: Rules of the Board – Visitors was discussed. Dr. Reich stated that the  committee would be reviewing the ordinance in the next month’s set of mee#ngs. The current  ordinance had been reviewed by the State’s Attorney’s Office. Ac#on on the ordinance will be  presented in the December rounds of mee#ngs. Erin Laegler-Wilson spoke to the committee  regarding updates on the ordinance; however, there is not much that the board/committees may  limit the speakers on outside of the #me limit and the importance of being consistent across all  boards and committees. Mr. McCoy made a mo#on to approve, seconded by Mr. Duesterhaus.  The mo#on to move the ordinance to the full board passed unanimously.  

Pyrotechnic Display Request for Point D’Vine LLC for Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 7PM with  no Alterna#ve Date. Mr. Reich made a mo#on to approve, seconded by Mrs. Bockhold. The  request was approved unanimously.  

Laredo Fee Contract was presented by Mr. Niekamp. It was stated that the agreement updates  for the Recorder’s Office’s customers. Mo#on to approve the agreement was made by Dr. Reich,  seconded by Mr. Kerkhoff. The agreement was passed unanimously.  

Dr. Reich changed all future mee#ng #mes to 6PM. This was approved through the committee  unanimously.  

Being no other business, Chairman Reich adjourned the mee#ng at 6:25pm.
