Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee met Oct. 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Meeting Convened at 5:45PM on October 15, 2024.

Members Present: Robert Reich, Theresa Bockhold, Jon McCoy, and Marvin Kerkhoff and Todd Duesterhaus

Members Absent: None

Others in Attendance: Gary Farha, and Ryan A. Niekamp, Lori Geschwandner, Anthony Foster, Erin Wilson Laegeler

A motion to approve the minutes from September 10, 2024, as written by Mr. Duesterhaus and seconded by Mr. Bockhold. The minutes were approved unanimously as printed.

The committee reviewed the bills, and all appeared to be in order.

The County Clerk noted that the General Election is coming up and everything is in order for it for November 5, 2024.

The committee reviewed the following resolutions and/or action items:

1. 2024-10-001-033 – Resolution Adopting the 2025 County Holiday Schedule. Motion to approve by Mr. McCoy and seconded by Mr. Kerkhoff. Approved unanimously.

2. 2024-10-001-034 – Resolution Adopting the 2025 County Board Meeting Schedule. Motion to approve by Mr. McCoy and seconded by Mr. Kerkhoff. Approved unanimously.

3. Adoption of an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village of Plainville and the County of Adams for Polling Place Accessibility within the Village Town Hall. Moved by Mr. McCoy and seconded by Mrs. Bockhold. The IGA was passed unanimously.

The committee reviewed a one-day permit for The Laundry Chute LLC for Fishing For Freedom at 2010 East 1250th St., Mendon, IL. 62351 for October 18 and October 19, 2024 from 11:00AM until 11:59PM (CDST). Motion to approve by Mr. Duesterhaus, seconded by Mr. McCoy. The one day permit was approved unanimously.

The County Clerk presented information regarding his recently completed Fee Study and purposed changes to Laredo Agreements and Recorder Fee Schedules which will be formally presented in the coming weeks.
