City of Quincy Plan Commission met Sept. 24.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

1) Call the Meeting to Order

2) Approval of the minutes from the previous meeting

3) Declaration of Conflict

4) Public Comment on Issue(s) not listed on the agenda (limited to three minutes)

5) A request by Ernest Hicks for a Special Permit for Planned Development to allow for the operation of a commercial bar & grill at 906 Lind Street and to obtain a liquor license as a means to operate a commercial bar & grill and to operate video gaming terminals at 906 Lind Street (Ward 2, Zoned Multi-Family Residential)

6) A request by Gordon Dobey to rezone property located at 1738 Broadway Street/305 North 18th Street from C1B (commercial) to C2 (commercial) to allow for the operation of a gaming parlor with video gaming terminals at 305 North 18th Street (Ward 4)

7) A request by Niemann General Contracting, Inc. to rezone property at 1700 Kochs Lane from R1A (Single Family Residential) to NR1 (Neighborhood Residential) to allow for the construction of owner-occupied residential dwellings (condominiums). (Located in Ward 1)

a) The Petitioner requested this be tabled until the 10/22/2024 Plan Commission meeting.

8) A request by Marx Commercial Properties & Development Company for a Special Permit for Planned Development to allow for the placement of a pole sign at 420 North 34th Street that advertises for a commercial retailer that will be located at 3415 Broadway Street (Ward 3, Zoned Planned Commercial)

9) A request by the City of Quincy to rezone property located at 1840 North 18th Street from R1C (Single-Family Residential) to C2 (Commercial) and at 1900 Seminary Road from M1 (Light Industrial) to C2 (Commercial) to allow for the operation of a vehicle washing facility at 1900 Seminary Road

10) A request by Rickey Rettke, Jr. for a Non-Conforming Use Permit to allow for the continued use of 700-702 South 17th Street as a two-family residential dwelling (duplex) (Ward 6, Zoned Single Family Residential)

11) A request by Gray Television to subdivided property (one lot to two lots) located at 501/503 Hampshire Street under the “small tracts” provision of the subdivision ordinance (Ward 7, Zoned Downtown)

12) New Business
