Some Illinois schools are implementing measures to limit students' cell phone use in classrooms. This policy aims to reduce distractions and improve academic performance.

"Cell phones can be a significant distraction," said Principal Mark Johnson of Lincoln High School. "By limiting their use, we hope to create a more focused learning environment."

Critics argue that such policies may not be effective and could infringe on students' freedom. "It's important for students to learn how to manage their own time and distractions," said parent Maria Gonzalez.

The debate continues as schools balance the benefits of technology with the need for an optimal educational environment.
