John Wood Community College Finance & Audit Committee met March 13.

The Finance Committee met on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the John Wood Community College. Present were Don Hess and Randy Greenwell; trustees, Josh Welker; Dean of Business Services & Institutional Effectiveness, Dr. Bryan Renfro; president, and Jenny Venvertloh; notetaker.
• Bills for Payment - The bills were reviewed and will be recommended for payment.
• Approval of Travel Requests – The committee reviewed the overnight travel forms that have been submitted and recommended them for approval.
• Financials - The financials were reviewed and will be recommended for approval.
• Board Budget – The budget was reviewed.
• Review & Discuss Investments - The investment report was reviewed. Proposals for CD rates were sent out. It is recommended to obtain three CDs with the highest rates.
• Board Items
o Mobile Education Trailer Bid – Bids were solicited for a mobile education trailer to provide on-site training for companies and schools. The purchase will be bought with the SCCT #2 (ATOMAT) grant. It is recommended that the Board of Trustees accept the bid and award to Midway Trailers, Inc. DBA Total Trailers in the amount of $89,995.00.
