Call to Order and Roll Call
The Southeastern Community Unit District #337 Board of Education met in regular session on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in the Board of Education Office in Augusta, Illinois. Mark Hitz, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

On a motion by Member Stephens and a second by Member Tippey, the Board of Education opened the public hearing on the 2023 Truth in Taxation Hearing at 6:31 p.m.

Special Recognition
Mrs. Harrison presented the Board Excellence Awards which included Beardstown Basketball All-State Honorable Mention, IL8man Central 2 All-Conference 1st Team, Illinois Volleyball Pep All-State Honorable Mention and All-Area Quincy Herald Whig Volleyball 1st Team.
Financial
On a motion by Member Stevens and a second by Member Stephens, the Board of Education approved the bills, financial statements, and activity funds.

Informational Items
Superintendent Lantz informed the board of the RIF Joint Committee selection. Superintendent Lantz discussed the possibilities of the E-Sports program.
Administrative reports were given with Mrs. Harrison stating how amazing the Christmas concerts were this year. Superintendent Lantz reported that the NHS group went to the Golden Good Shepherd Home and Hickory Grove to do activities with the residents.
Action Items
On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member Bunnell, the Board of Education approved the early graduation of class of 2024 senior Jesse Johnson contingent upon meeting all graduation requirements by December 31, 2023.

On a motion by Member Tippey and a second by Member Stevens, the Board of Education approved the resolution directing the Regional Superintendent of Schools for the County of Hancock, Illinois, to certify to the County Clerk of said County the question of imposing a retailers’ occupation tax and a service occupation tax to be used exclusively for school facility purposes, school resource officers, and mental health professionals, for submission to the electors of said County at the consolidated election to be held on the 19th day of March, 2024.
