Adams County Board Transportation, Building & Technology Committee met July 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Dave Bellis called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M. in the Law Library.

Present: Committee Members: Les Post, Ryan Hinkamper, Dave McCleary and Joe Zanger

Absent: None

Also present: Dave Bockhold, Jim Frankenhoff, Todd Eyler, Gary Farha, David Hochgraber, Bob Gough from Muddy River News, Christa Holtman and several other county employees.

  • Joe Zanger made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 13 and June 28, 2023 committee meetings as printed and distributed. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • The committee reviewed, approved and signed off on the bills.
  • Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve a resolution reporting bids from the June 13, 2023, Road District Motor Fuel Tax Maintenance Letting and awarding contracts for oil and chip sealing various roads in various Adams County Road Districts. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • Dave Bellis reported that they put air purifiers in the jury rooms and courtrooms over the weekend.
  • The committee discussed hiring a firm for more testing and developing a mold remediation plan. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to hire John A. Jurgiel & Associates, Inc. Joe Zanger seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of BRIC invoice #33113 on the HVAC project at the ACJDC. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of Peters Heating & A/C pay application #7 on the HVAC project at the ACJDC. Joe Zanger seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of NGS Services, LLC invoice #1447 for 75% completion of the County Board Room sound system upgrade. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of NGS Services, LLC invoice #1448 for 50% completion of the County Board Room video system upgrade. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • David Hochgraber reported to the committee on the County website update.
  • Joe Zanger made a motion to go into executive session for the discussion of legal matters. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • Les Post made a motion to go back into regular session. Ryan Hinkamper seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
  • Dave McCleary made a motion to adjourn. Les Post seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 6:58 P.M.
