Adams County Board Transportation, Building & Technology Committee met April 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Dave Bellis called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M. in the Law Library.

Present: Committee Members: Les Post, Ryan Hinkamper, Dave McCleary and Joe Zanger

Absent: None

Also present: Jim Frankenhoff, Dave Bockhold, Kent Snider, David Hochgraber, Todd Eyler, Terry Bower, Ryan Niekamp and Tony Grootens.

Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 14, 2023 committee meeting as printed and distributed. Joe Zanger seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The committee reviewed, approved and signed off on the bills.

Dave Bellis reported on the progress of the HVAC project at the Juvenile Detention Center, that Safestart will be doing the mold inspection in the courthouse from April 18th through the 20th and the bid letting for the parking lot project will be May 5th.

David Hochgraber reported on the progress of the camera project and 911 backup center. Jim Frankenhoff reported to the committee about various highway and bridge projects.

Terry Bower reported to the committee about the landscaping project and air vent maintenance. The Committee reviewed, approved and signed off on seven resolutions (2023-04-501-008 through 2023-04-501-014) for maintenance and construction projects on various County and Township roads to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval.

Les Post made a motion to accept a bid from Glass One for glass work in the Adams County Jail. Ryan Hinkamper seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of BRIC invoice #32799 for $2,580.36 on HVAC Project #2356-02 at the ACJDC. Dave McCleary seconded and it passed unanimously. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of Peters Heating & A/C pay application number 4 in the amount of $168,772.46 for HVAC work done at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Sheriff Tony Grootens reported to the committee on various security issues in the courthouse. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to adjourn. Joe Zanger seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 6:40 P.M.
