Adams County Board Legislative & Judicial Committee met March 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes

The motion to approve minutes was made by Theresa Bockhold. Seconded by Jon McCoy. Motion carried.

• Appointments

1. Appointment of David Greving to the Mill Creek Water District for a sixyear term to expire the first Monday of May, 2029

2. Appointment of Jim Maynard to the Mill Creek Water District for a six year term to expire the first Monday of May, 2029

Bob Reich made a motion to approve and recommend the above appointments to the full County Board. Theresa Bockhold seconded the motion. Motion carried.

1. Adams County Plat Act

▪ Discussion about the plat act consisted of adding 10 items that can mark for the survery. No action was taken.

2. Wind and Solar Farm Legislative Update(s)

▪ This is through the state of IL and has been referred to the State’s Attorneys office. No further action was taken.

Resolutions

1. Resolution 2023-03-121-007 – Resolution to Adopt the Permanent Change of Quincy Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 to Grandview Church located at 1019 Cedar Street, Quincy, IL

a. Theresa Bockhold makes a motion to approve the above resolution. Barb seconded the motion. Motion carried.

2. Resolution 2023-03-131-008 – Resolution to Increase the Rental Housing Support Fees in the Adams County Recorder’s Office Pursuant to Public Act 102- 1135

a. Theresa Bockhold makes a motion to recommend and approve the above resolution. Barb Fletcher seconded the motion. Motion carried.

OTHER

1. Control Room Operator Supplemental Handbook

a. CROs are required to follow their own handbook since they have different benefits than other regular full-time non-exempt employees. Theresa makes a motion to recommend the handbook to the full county board. Jon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
