Adams County Board Transportation, Building & Technology Committee met Dec. 13

Adams County Transportation, Building & Technology Committee Meeting December 13, 2022

Dave Bellis called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. in the Law Library.

Present: Committee Members: Les Post, Ryan Hinkamper and Dave McCleary

Absent: Joe Zanger

Also present: Jim Frankenhoff, Dave Bockhold, Kent Snider, Terry Bower, David Hochgraber, Ryan Niekamp, Judge Larson, Judge Henze, Tim Finlay and Jake Reed

Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 15, 2022 committee meeting as printed and distributed. Les Post seconded the motion. Motion to approve the minutes passed unanimously.

Ryan Schnack spoke to the committee by telephone about possible mold issues in the courthouse and jail, and that he is willing to pay to have it checked out. Judge Henze also spoke to the committee about concerns she has. Kent Snider informed the committee that Terry Bower is already looking into it. Terry Bower informed the committee that he is having testing done and that duct cleaning starts tomorrow. The committee reviewed, approved and signed off on the bills.

The committee discussed the Adams County Board Room Sound System Updates Project and reviewed bids. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to accept the low bid and forward to the full County Board for final approval. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

The Committee discussed the Camera and Door Access Project and reviewed bids. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to accept the low bid subject to funding and approval by the full County Board. Dave McCleary seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of invoices from two vendors. BRIC invoice #32465 for project #2356-01 at the Adams County Health Department; BRIC invoice 32354 for project # 2356-02 at the Juvenile Detention Center; and Extreme Exterior Pros invoice #483 for the South Side EIFS Project on the Adams County Courthouse. Les Post seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

The committee discussed River Front Seed Money and there was no action taken. This should probably be a matter for the Executive Committee.

Dave McCleary made a motion to adjourn. Ryan Hinkamper seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 6:59 P.M.
