Cold Shooting Sees Hawks Drop Second Straight Game

The Quincy University Hawks (11-8, 7-4 GLVC) lost their second consecutive game on Saturday, January 21st to the Missouri S&T Miners by the score of 72-65.

The Hawks could not muster any hot shooting as they went 22 of 65 from the field for 33.8%. They only converted 4 three-pointers on 22 attempts. At the charity stripe, QU shot 17 of 27 for 63%.

The Miners came in as one of the best shooting teams in the GLVC, but the Hawk defense limited them to 35.6% from the field.

QU was led by Malik Hardmon who had 17 points. Isaiah Foster was the only other Hawk in double figures as he chipped in 11 points.

The Hawks will hit the road on Thursday, January 26th for a 7:30 p.m. tip off from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois.
