City of Quincy City Council met Dec. 5.

PUBLIC FORUM 

PETITION 

By Quincy Boat Club requesting permission to conduct two separate raffles and have the bond  requirements waived from December 15, 2022 through May 7, 2023. The City Clerk recommends  approval of the permits. 

MONTHLY REPORTS 

REPORT OF THE QUINCY PLAN COMMISSION 

Ward  3 The recommendation to approve the subdivision (dividing one lot into eight) of property located at  5100 Chestnut Street under the “small tracts” provision of the Subdivision Ordinance, zoned NR, with various conditions and compliance with various city codes. Also, the Department of  Engineering & Utilities approves the drainage plan for the subdivision and the subject lot at 5100  Chestnut Street must be annexed into the city prior to the extension of the city’s water/sewer  system, was tabled for one week by Ald. Freiburg. 

RESOLUTIONS 

Resolution for Small Rental Rehab Project Funding (Proposals for various amounts for the  following addresses: 1224 Broadway, 513-515 Washington, 1732 State, 1139 #2 Hutmacher Rd.,  1139 #3 Hutmacher Rd.)  

Resolution in support of an application for a $10,000 DollarWise Grant through the United States  Conference of Mayors on behalf of the Safe & Livable Housing Committee to help the  organization pay for the Tenant Workshops it plans to hold during the 2023 calendar year. 

Public Works Director, Central Services Director, and Central Services Committee recommending  approval of the bid from Summy Tire in the amount of $8,405.24 to enter into a two-year contract  for the purchase of automotive, truck, and off-road tires. 

Resolution for improvement under the Illinois Highway Code in the sum of $251,000 of MFT  Funds for the purpose of maintaining streets and highways under the applicable provisions from  5/1/23 to 4/30/24. 

Resolution for improvement under the Illinois Highway Code in the sum of $1,108,000 of MFT  Funds for the purpose of maintaining streets and highways under the applicable provisions from  5/1/23 to 4/30/24. 

Resolution for improvement under the Illinois Highway Code in the sum of $507,000 of MFT  Funds for the purpose of maintaining streets and highways under the applicable provisions from  5/1/23 to 4/30/24.

An Ordinance Levying Taxes For Special Service Area Known As The Historic Quincy Business  District In The City Of Quincy, County Of Adams, State Of Illinois, For The Fiscal Year  Beginning May 1, 2022 And Ending April 30, 2023.

First presentation of an Ordinance entitled: 

Ward 7 An Ordinance Vacating An Alley. (North-south public alley located in the city block bounded by  S. 3rd Street, Ohio Street, S. 4th Street, and Delaware Street.) 

Ward 2 An Ordinance Amending Title VII (Traffic Code) Of Chapter 82 (No Parking Zones) Of The  Municipal Code Of The City Of Quincy Of 2015. (North 20th (west side) from Chestnut Street  north to the alley (230’ north of the center of Chestnut), North 20th (east side) 80 feet north from  the center of Chestnut Street and North 20th (east side) 80 feet south from the center of Chestnut  Street.)
