Adams County Transportation, Building & Technology Committee met Oct. 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Dave Bellis called the meeting to order at 6:25 P.M. in the Law Library.

Present were: Committee Members: Les Post, Joe Zanger, Ryan Hinkamper and John Brady

Absent were: None

Also present were: Jim Frankenhoff, Dave Bockhold, Kent Snider, Terry Bower, David Hochgraber Anthony Foster and Judge Larson

Joe Zanger made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 9, 2022 committee meeting as printed and distributed. Les Post seconded the motion. Motion to approve the minutes passed unanimously.

The committee reviewed, approved and signed off on the bills.

The committee reviewed and approved a resolution to use Surface Transportation Funds to pay one half of the County Engineer's salary from December 1, 2021 through November 30, 2022 and appropriating $67,964.00 from the County Motor Fuel Tax Fund for one half of the County Engineer's salary from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval.

The committee reviewed and signed off on a resolution for the replacement of the bridge carrying County Highway 39 over Grindstone Creek, appropriating $40,000.00 for the design engineering and authorizing the County Board Chairman to sign a professional services agreement with WHKS & Company to be forwarded to the full County Board for final approval.

Jim Frankenhoff reported on various projects and bridge issues.

The committee reviewed bids for the HVAC project at the Juvenile Detention Center. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to accept the low bid from Peters. Les Post seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

The committee discussed the Adams County Board Room Audio/Visual Updates Project. Les Post made a motion to approve the electrical and wiring portion of the work and to advertise for bids on the audio/visual equipment portion of the project. Ryan Hinkamper seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Joe Zanger made a motion to approve payment of BRIC invoice #32132 for HVAC engineering services at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center; BRIC invoice #32041 & #32132 for HVAC engineering services at the Adams County Health Department. Ryan Hinkamper seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of A. Fischer Builders invoice #7850 the HVAC project at the Adams County Health Department. Les Post seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to approve payment of Extreme Pros invoice #482 for the Dryvit project at the Adams County Courthouse. Les Post seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Ryan Hinkamper made a motion to adjourn. Les Post seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 6:55 P.M.
