Village of Mendon Village Board met Sept. 8.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Mendon Village Board of Trustees met in regular session in the Village Office. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Village Mayor David Wittler. Trustees present were: Bastert, Buss, Cantrell, Keefe, and King. Trustee Cannell was absent. Village Superintendent Cantrell and Village Clerk Woodruff were present. There was no deputy in attendance. There were no visitors.

To approve the minutes of the August 11, 2022, meeting as read.

To approve the bills and payroll as presented and recommended by the finance committee.

Public Comment: 

∙ None

Deputies Report: 

∙ (6) Traffic stops – verbal warnings 

∙ Forgery case to business - two suspects. One subject arrest warrant sent to States Attorney. Other subject waiting on bank records for warrant. 

∙ Theft of power tools from unlocked vehicle. Report investigation to continue. Business has taken steps to solve issue. 

∙ Juvenile issue – juvenile was followed to school. 

∙ Assisted agency making contact with subject for Hannibal, MO Police Dept.

Maintenance Superintendent’s Report: 

∙ Person serving Community Service – 100 hours 

∙ Lift Station Repair – Completed 

∙ Leaks repaired 

∙ Park Mulch completed, mats put under swings

Mayor's Report: 

∙ Golf Carts & ATVs 

∙ North Lift Station Status – 99.9% complete awaiting Generator which is on back order 

∙ Homecoming Parade 

∙ Final Payment to Benton & Associates for Ponderosa Road Project
