Donation is music to the ears of Blessing patients

Music can have a positive influence on the body, mind and spirit. A gift from a Quincy couple will enhance that effect for inpatients on Blessing Hospital’s three behavioral health units.

Craig and Leah Heming recently presented a $1,000 donation to the Blessing Foundation for the Behavioral Health Services Fund. Craig is an owner of Doors ‘N More and Leah is a nurse practitioner in the medical oncology department of Blessing Hospital’s nationally certified Cancer Center.

The Heming’s gift will enhance meditation music capabilities for patients to promote healing.  Upgraded speakers will be installed in the comfort room on each of the three inpatient behavioral units. Additional music apps will also be made available to the current menu of selections in each room.
