PUBLIC FORUM

PETITION

Ward 1 Fireworks Authority, Inc. requesting permission to hold a fireworks display at the Quinsippi Island on October 7th at approximately 8:00 p.m. The Quincy Fire Department has given their approval.

Wards 5, 6 Hope Lutheran Church, 1739 Harrison, requesting the closure of 18th Street from Van Buren to Harrison on Saturday, October 15th from 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for a neighborhood block party. Barricades needed.

RESOLUTIONS

Council Resolution Authorizing Submission and Support For Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program Grant Application. (In the amount of $960,000 to fund North 18th Street Bill Klingner bicycle lane and trail connection project.)

Purchasing Agent recommending approval of a lease proposal from Postal Source, Davenport, IA, in the total amount of $11,624.40 for a Model Quadient iX5 Series Base postage machine.

Public Works Director and City Hall Committee recommending approval of the proposal from Air Specialists Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc., in the amount of $20,600, for the furnishing and installation of two 3-ton ductless split type air conditioning units in City Hall.

Public Works Director and Central Services Committee recommending approval of the proposal to enter into a three-year contract beginning on March 1, 2023, with an option to renew for one-year periods upon the expiration of February 28, 2026, with Alliance Industrial Corporation, for the monitoring of the drop-off locations and hauling of City-owned roll-off containers from the collection sites to the disposal sites.

Engineering Manager and Central Services Committee recommending the bid, given at 15.56% over the Engineer’s estimated project cost, for the 2022 Motor Fuel Tax Resurfacing Project be rejected and the project be re-bid at a later date.

Technology Committee and the IT Manager recommending approval of the quote from SHI International in the amount of $20,772.00 for the Cisco Duo multifactor authentication solution to increase overall security to the City of Quincy’s infrastructure.

Director of Administrative Services recommending that BlueHaven Café, at the Quincy Regional Airport, be awarded ARPA Airport Concessionaires rent relief in the amount of $8,595.

Ward 3 An Ordinance Amending Title VII (Traffic Code) of Chapter 81 (Traffic Schedules) of the Municipal Code of The City of Quincy 2015. (Add “All-Way Stop” at the intersection of Northbrook Drive, Taylor Drive, and Parkway Drive.)

Ward 3 An Ordinance Amending Title VII (Traffic Code) of Chapter 82 (No Parking Zones) of the Municipal Code of the City of Quincy 2015. (Add “No Parking Zone” on both sides of Wysteria Lane, commencing at the centerline of North 36th St. and extend West a distance of 130 Feet.)

Ward 6 An Ordinance Amending Title VII (Traffic Code) Of Chapter 81 (Traffic Schedules) Of The Municipal Code Of The City Of Quincy Of 2015. (Add “2-Way Stop” at the intersection of 9th & Van Buren. Traffic on Van Buren Street will stop for traffic on 9th Street.)

Ward 4 An Ordinance Amending Title VII (Traffic Code) Of Chapter 81 (Traffic Schedules) Of The Municipal Code Of The City Of Quincy Of 2015. (Add “School Speed Zone” on Jefferson Street, 220 feet west of the centerline of South 20th St. to 50 feet west of the centerline of South 21st St. and South 20th St. from 220 feet south of Jefferson Street to 400 feet north of Jefferson Street.

Ward 2 An Ordinance Amending Title VII (Traffic Code) Of Chapter 82 (Parking Schedules) Of The Municipal Code Of The City Of Quincy Of 2015. (Remove “2 Hour Parking” on both sides of North 14th Street from Broadway Street north to the alley.)
