Liberty Community Unit #2 Board of Education met April 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Adams/Pike County, IL The Regular meeting was called to order at 6:31 p.m. Members present: Bany, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims, and Voga. Absent: Baucom. 6 present 0 absent. Also present: Kelle Bunch, Jody Obert, Justin Edgar, Michael Smith, Michelle McMillan, Lucretia Howell, Alisia Pittman, Sharon Bearden, and Sara Reichert.

Sharon Bearden left at 6:45 p.m.

Motion by Obert, seconded by Voga that the board of education approves the Routine Consent Agenda. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims, and Voga. 6 ayes O nays. M.C.

Motion by Voga, seconded by Derhake that the board of education approves the Consent Agenda. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims, and Voga. 6 ayes O nays. M.C.

Michael Smith, Michelle McMillan, Alisia Pittman, Lucretia Howell, Sharon Bearden, and Sara Reichert left at 7:10 p.m.

Motion by Voga, seconded by Derhake that the board goes into closed session. Time: 7:15 p.m. Meeting in Closed Session on the following subjects: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors, or specific volunteers of the School District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves, as an independent contractor, or a volunteer of the District.; b) collective negotiating matters between the School District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations conceming salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; c) the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the District; d) the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the District; e) the sale or purchase of securities, investments, or investment contracts; f) emergency security procedures; g) student disciplinary cases; h) the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students; i) pending, probable, or imminent litigation; j) evaluation of attorney; k) approval of certain closed session minutes for distribution to the public; or other matters appropriate for a closed meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims, and Voga. 6 ayes 0 nays. M.C.

Motion by Derhake, seconded by Obert that the board of education go out of closed session. 9:19 p.m. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims, and Voga. 6 ayes 0 nays. M.C.

Motion by Voga, seconded by Obert that the board of education approves the personnel report. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims, and Voga. 6 ayes 0 nays. M.C.

Motion by Obert, seconded by Voga that the board of education adjourns. Time: 9:22 p.m. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims, and Voga. 6 ayes 0 nays. M.C.
