Village of Mendon Board of Trustees met March 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Mendon Village Board of Trustees met in regular session in the Village  Office. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Village Mayor David Wittler. Trustees present were:  Bastert, Buss, Cannell, Keefe, and King. Trustee Moore arrived at 7:03.

Village Superintendent Cantrell and Village Clerk Woodruff were present. There was no deputy in  attendance. Others in attendance were: Jebora Brock (Running for Adams County Board) and Jarrod  Weeks (Mendon Fire Protection District).

Public Comment:

J.B. Brock asked for support in his attempt to run for county board.

Jared Weeks shared information about the Mendon Fire Protection District upcoming  fund raiser. Funds to be used to improve equipment, which would give the department  a better number, which helps reduce fire protection insurance costs for residents.

Maintenance Superintendent’s Report:

∙ Bulk Water Salesman Repair – damaged by delivery truck at Maas Enterprise ∙ Library Sewer Update – new library expansion will require moving of a sewer  line. Ameren will also be relocating lines and removing trees.

∙ Annual Dinner set for April 7th

∙ Nicor Franchise Agreement discussed. New census is 872.

∙ Ponderosa Street update (increase in oil prices will increase cost up to 30-40% ∙ Adams Tel Fiber shut down in office (Wednesday March 16th) – after business  hours

∙ Electric Aggregate – office receiving calls after Ameren mailing ∙ After Prom request for annual donation

∙ ARPA (Money from County) discussed possible projects

∙ Economic Interest Statement reminder that forms must be completed
