Public Comment: Tyler and Curtis Shaffer spoke of their plans to open a laundromat in the southern wing of the previous NAH. They are seeking a Class A “retail liquor dealer’s license for sale and consumption on premises”, as they would like to have video gambling machines available at the new location. They hope the funds generated by the gambling machines would cover the salary of an attendant at the laundromat. Attendant assisted laundry services would also be available. The business would be called the Laundry Chute and they would hope to have it open late summer to early fall. They said they currently have 45 residents in the areas they have remodeled and have available for rent. They also mentioned that they host a trunk or treat and other community events throughout the year. The board thanked them for their efforts to bring the property back into use.
