Village of Payson Village Board met Jan. 11
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
Meeting called to order-
Mayor Dever asks for roll call. Those present were: Chris Dever, Roger Sunde, Kristi Shelton, Kyle Beckman, Robert Stock, Gary Epperson, Don Benjamin and Barney, Jason and Doreta Lalond.
Secretary’s Report:
Kristie motioned to accept the Secretary’s report from December, Gary seconded and all were in favor.
Guests/Communication/Recognition:
Doreta thanks the board for the Christmas in the Park event.
Maintenance Report:
Needed 300 water meters- possible use for the COVID money- Barney stated that they have widened the options for using the money- water meters, water tower, water lines, police salaries- all options.
1st check has been received, 2nd due soon- will look up past bids on painting the water tower.
Kyle asked how the sidewalk program works and suggested replacing a couple- would like to address them again this year and put a plan together.
Police Report:
Barking dogs- lady down in the subdivision complaining about Tompson’s dogs (again). Barney will look into the ordinance.
Parks Committee:
1 More discussion held on when electrical work is done to add extra outlets and move or remove the large gray pole- Kyle and Jason will work on this and possible add or replace benches.
Monthly Bills/Treasurer’s Report and Misc. Financial Reports:
Bills for December- Kyle motioned to approve expenses, Rob seconded and all were in favor after roll call vote.
Kristi presented the audit.
Kristi motioned to approve the “Engagement” letter for the 2022 audit- Gary seconded and all were in favor.
Board received letter from Fleer’s to keep doing the villages accounting- Gary motioned to approve, Kristie seconded- all in favor.
Christmas decorating contest- Kyle updated the board and Kristie will make sure people get their monetary awards.
