Village of Mendon Village Board met Dec. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Mendon Village Board of Trustees met in regular session on in the  Village Office. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Village Mayor David Wittler. Trustees  present were: Bastert, Buss, Moore and King. Trustees Cannell and Keefe were absent. Village  Superintendent Cantrell, Village Clerk Woodruff, and Deputy Doellman were present. There were 2 guests in attendance - Reg Ankrom – Simec, and Scott Lentz – Four Points.

Public Comment:

∙ Reg Ankrom spoke regarding a letter he had sent to Mayor Wittler  regarding Mendon electric aggregation

∙ Scott Lentz – presented paperwork for the North Lift Station project that  required the signature of Mayor Wittler and he brought Christmas cookies  for the board to enjoy during the meeting.

∙ Big truck repair explanation

∙ Water leaks and costs involved with repair

∙ Increased rates for water leak repairs and use of equipment – discussion  regarding other options for plumbing services

∙ Discussion regarding a quote for removal of a walnut tree on village right  of way

∙ Reported on repairs made to playground equipment following damage  done by unknown individuals

∙ Employee Recognition meal date discussion

∙ Memo for proposed roadway improvements to Ponderosa Ave from Benton  and Associates shared

∙ SIMEC (Village Electric Supplier) discussion regarding electric  aggregation.

∙ Christmas Decorations up  

∙ Phone conference call held with party regarding previous decision by board  regarding a proposed subdivision

Mayor's Report

Correspondence:

∙ Thank you cards from family of Dan Cannell and from St. Edwards Church for providing  barricades for traffic control during Thanksgiving meal drive through.
