Liberty Community Unit #2 Board of Education met Nov. 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Regular meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Members present: Barry, Baucom, Derhake, Obert, Sims and Voga. Absent: Mixer. 6 present 1 absent. Also present: Kelle Bunch, Jody Obert, Justin Edgar, Michael Smith, Becky Esselman, Bobbie McKay, James McKay, Schanan Kivett, Chris Taylor, Karla Ellerman, Sarah Sweeting(presented District Audit), Alexis Ormond, Sarah Troxell, Jill Knuffman, Stacey Heberlein, Krista Tenhouse, Holly Schell, and Heather Buss. 

Joel Mixer, Heather Musholt, Kaylie Gilbert, Anna Mowen and Daniel Mowen arrived at 6:31 p.m. 

Heidi Klingele arrived at 6:33 p.m. 

Motion by Derhake, seconded by Baucom that the board of education approve the routine consent agenda. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes O nays. M.C. 

Motion by Derhake, seconded by Voga that the board of education approve the consent agenda. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes ( nays. M.C. 

Michael Smith, Becky Esselman, Bobbie McKay, James McKay, Schanan Kivett, Chris Taylor, Karla Ellerman, Sarah Sweeting, Alexis Ormond, Sarah Troxell, Jill Knuffman, Stacey Heberlein, Krista Tenhouse, Holly Schell, and Heather Buss, Heather Musholt, Kaylie Gilbert, Anna Mowen, Daniel Mowen and Heidi Klingele left before the closed session. 

Motion by Voga, seconded by Derhake that the board go into closed session. Time: 8:41 p.m. Meeting in Closed Session on the following subjects: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors, or specific volunteers of the School District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves, as an independent contractor, or a volunteer of the District.; b) collective negotiating matters between the School District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees; c) the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the District; d) the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the District; e) the sale or purchase of securities, investments, or investment contracts; f) emergency security procedures; g) student disciplinary cases; h) the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students; i) pending, probable, or imminent litigation; j) evaluation of attorney; k) approval of certain closed session minutes for distribution to the public; or other matters appropriate for a closed meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes 0 nays. M.C. 

Motion by Baucom, seconded by Derhake that the board of education go out of closed session. Time: 9:37 p.m. Roll Call Vote: Aye; Barry, Baucom, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes 0 nays. M.C. 

Motion by Derhake, seconded by Obert that the board of education approve the personnel report. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes O nays. M.C. 

Motion by Mixer, seconded by Derhake that the board of education adjourn. Time: 9:42 p.m. Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barry, Baucom, Derhake, Mixer, Obert, Sims and Voga. 7 ayes 0 nays. M.C.
